Astronomy Night - Star Party

Let's enjoy astronomy with an ocean view and celebrate International Observe the Moon Night!  The viewing begins with close-up views of a stunning 11-day waxing gibbous moon and learn about lunar features and geology. More information about NASA's "Observe the Moon Night" can be found here:  https://moon.nasa.gov/observe-the-moon-night/about/overview/  The main purpose is to "Unite people across the globe in celebration of lunar observation, science, and exploration."
And, Saturn is back! Everyone loves the ringed planet and the many wonderful deep sky sights visible in the late summer sky. Our knowledgeable volunteer astronomers will be happy to teach you about the moon, planets, star clusters, and deep sky objects that adorn the sky.
