Meet John Martin Author of "Psychology Confidential"

  • Bogart's Coffee House 905 Ocean Ave. Seal Beach, CA 90740 (map)

"Psychology Confidential is a book is a fun-filled tour through the interesting, and sometimes crazy field of psychology, by Dr. John Martin, professor of psychology and clinical psychologist. In it are real life stories of his university and medical school time teaching and conducting research, as well as world travels including his 9 trips to Africa (where he worked on the HIV/AIDS crisis with a team from the NIH) -- not to mention some fascinating, frequently hilarious stories of animal psychology - as well as kid psychology "gone wrong."

Veterans and their family members may be especially interested in Dr. John’s sharing about working with veterans with trauma and PTSD, including treating one of the first diagnosed cases of PTSD, and later including conducting therapy along with his canine "partner," Barnabas- his great service dog - a big black lab you will get to meet.

A local author from HB since 2016, John spent much of the COVID shutdown writing and crafting “Psychology Confidential  "tell-all" about his wild and crazy life in psychology, including some of his own profound, personal struggles with trauma and PTSD, and how he found faith and healing through a powerful experience with God.

The book is now available on Amazon and other outlets, including hardbound, paperback, Kindle ebook, as well as, more recently, on Audible books (coming soon). So get your copy in advance and bring it to the talk to get signed. There will be copies available as well for sale and autograph.
